"You sent a message to this user": fadeout of post unclear

When I send a message/warning to a user via flag icon -> “Send @user a message | I want to talk to this person directly and privately about their post.” -> Message / Warning the post gets lighter, almost faded out.

I can confirm that the post fades when you send an “Official Warning” (via Flag → “Send @user a message”).

Reloading the page unfades that post.

I am not sure if this is by design or a bug.
