Several users are experiencing issues with their Docker installation on Linux/ARM. Law and jeffsoc report receiving the error “exec format error” and “exec user process caused ‘exec format error’” respectively, when trying to install Discourse on Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04LTS (arm64). Initially, Falco mentioned that Discourse isn’t supported on arm64 architecture, but later corrected this statement (Falco), citing a recent blog post announcing support for Discourse on ARM architecture, including Raspberry Pi: https://blog.discourse.org/2021/12/2021-12-07-discourse-on-a-raspberry-pi/.
There has been some issues with ARM infrastructure in the past in which would be worth searching for - such as the following - however you may need some assistance from someone who knows the infrastructure better than myself.
Hey, did you ever manage to fix that issue?
i trying to install discourse on Scaleway VPS with ubuntu 18.04LTS (arm64)
and getting the same error (standard_init_linux.go:211: exec user process caused “exec format error”)
