Are you an admin on the site? I’ve seen this happen when the ownership of category “About” topics is changed. Is it possible that is what has happened on your site.
If changing the ownership of category About topics is not the cause of the issue on your site, can you let us know what version of Discourse you are on?

That should fix the issue on your site, but changing the About topic’s ownership should not reduce the topic and post count for the user who created the category. It’s a minor issue, but it is something that should be fixed. I’ll re-categorize this topic to our UX category.
