Hi, I updated my sites today and realized staff notices are no longer on a colored background, they are just normal text and don’t stand out, is it intended ? Thanks. Even stranger, some are with no background, some have it, what gives ? :eyes:

2024 was more than 90 days ago, so why do you think this doesn’t explain it?

Is this happening with new ones? If it’s on older ones then the background colour of those fades over time so they become less obtrusive.

can you give us more info? screenshots? have you made any recent changes, especially css-related? Do they show up properly in safe-mode? I believe they’re called official notices now. Working on Meta [IMG_3781]

This one does not have background (hyperlink on image): [The image displays a section of a French YouTube channel named RetroCAD, discussing the discontinuation decision of the author and examination of an old IBM CAD 2D software version. (Captioned by AI)] This one does (hyperlink on image): [This image shows an organized list of Autodesk® forum categories by admin/moderator Patrick, accessible in French. (Captioned by AI)] My site is up to date, no CSS changes recently. And using safe-mode, same behavior.

That depends on the Old post notice days site setting. By default it’s 14 days

[imagen] Moin: Old post notice days Ok it’s set to 90 days for me so that cannot explain the behavior.

Good point ! I thought it was more recent. Any way to disable the fading ?

You can do it with CSS. You can find some examples for hiding notices in Understanding and managing post notices. “Old” is what is added after the 14 or, in your case, 90 days. Do you want to keep the highlight only on custom notices or also on the new and returning user notices?

The max for that setting is 36500 days, so 100 years? That should probably do it.
