Just bumping this as a much-needed feature for really embracing chat as across a larger business.

This topic has been dormant for awhile but we are also getting requests from our community to provide a search function specifically for chat.
Please consider prioritizing this.

Soon we’ll move from Slack to Discourse.
But right now I already know that people will ask how they can search through chat because they’re used to it. (Although I understand that there is a quote option available in Discourse Chat – I can’t change that people are used to it that search is available inside chat/Slack.)
Let’s hope that the Discourse team can prioritize this. Thanks!
