I’ve accidently deleted a badge for all users (“top contributor”). Is there a way restore it from DB?
I have yesterday’s backup and obv. I won’t restore all of it, but is there a way to SQL the backup DB and restore only that badge back? Which table(s) are related?
Thanks,
Avi

Accidently Deleted Badge: Possible Restoration
Senior_Avr accidentally deleted the “top contributor” badge and is seeking a way to restore it from the database using a backup. Heliosurge suggested that if it was a default badge, they could look it up and provide the necessary SQL code to restore it. However, after further investigation, Heliosurge was unable to find the badge in an older instance and recommended involving a team member for assistance.
Moin asked if the badge was added by the GitHub plugin, which can be deleted but re-added after some time. They provided a link to the GitHub plugin’s code and suggested that the badge might be recoverable if it was part of this plugin.
The discussion includes a link to the badges reference guide and an image of the badge in question.
I am not seeing this badge on my Instance. Was it a custom badge or under a different name?
If it is a default badge we can look it up and post the sections of the badge to copy paste with the SQL by the looks of it.
Hi Dan,
It was a built-in badge 4 years ago…
What could we do re SQL ?
Any hints on where to find the bange in the DB etc?
Thx,
Avi
I am not sure. I have looked into an older 7-8 year old instance. I do not see that badge.
I think we need maybe a team member as they might have a copy of badges.
Here is an official link for badges maybe @hugh might have some ideas.
