Add a sub-category to a sub-category

Generally speaking sub-sub-categories are not a recommended organizational structure. Tags are almost always the better option when you need additional classification beyond the single sub-category level. With that set, sub-sub-categories do exist and can be enabled using the steps in this post:

Quick guide to set it from 2 (default) to 3 via the console: cd /var/discourse/ ./launcher enter app rails c read current value: [1] pry(main)> SiteSetting.max_category_nesting => 2 write new value: [2] pry(main)> SiteSetting.max_category_nesting = 3 => 3
