Our users like the idea of form templates so that users creating new topics asking for help have to answer certain questions. What they hate is losing out on the full markdown editor that the composer usually has, when using form templates with text boxes.
What are the chances we could get an option for text fields to allow them to be full the full markdown editor that you would otherwise get in the composer?
You can edit the post in the full editor after it’s created.
While this is possible, it is of course not an ideal user experience. Ideally it would happen on first post.
This has been brought up before in another Contribute > Feature topic. I’d love to see something like this too.
Not sure if I should vote here or create a new topic, but form templates are perfect for our community aside from markdown fields not being resizable, ie choose long form with no formatting or choose markdown without being able to resize.
I think that is really useful for almost all of those who are actively using form templates.

We do have a form template field type for a composer input now.
This should be an easy fix, but it slipped under the radar.
The current markdown field, at least in my instance, is reduced to half (of the already reduced limit of the general composer).
Unfortunately, in practice it is almost unusable. The composer buttons are not visible, its placeholder barely manages to show 20 words and no more. I hope it improves soon, it’s a great feature to allow 
[EDIT] I think it would also be very valuable to enable image uploads in the text field, for use in wiki or guide creations, where they need to be ordered and not displayed at the end of the topics created.
