Frequently forum users don’t see or don’t bother to use the ‘Solved’ button, which leaves most support topics open and unsolved. Is it possible to allow Admins and moderators to mark topics solved as well?

Look under the ‘…’ icon. For some reason, it’s hidden by default for moderators and admins.

Got it, thanks. ‘Allow topic owner and staff to mark a reply as the solution’ was already ticked, yet still there is no option for me as an Admin to mark a topic solved. For my own topics (ones which I created, in the same category) I can see this option. But not for topics created by others. From …

You need to enable it per category. So edit the category, then head to the settings tab there.
