Hey @lindsey , thanks for your answer and confirmation
Is there a particular situation that you’re running into where more control over the group chat membership would be helpful?
Yes, currently in group chats, only Discourse admins can remove members — aside from users choosing to leave the chat themselves. It would be very helpful if the group chat creator (or designated users) could remove members without needing admin permissions.
This becomes especially important in situations where the admin is unavailable, or when the group creator needs to manage members actively (e.g., removing inactive or inappropriate users). Granting limited management capabilities like removing members to the group chat creator or allowing role delegation within the group would make group moderation more flexible and efficient.
