I have a self-hosted instance that is using AI summarization, and also has a number of categories specifically for RSS news feeds. the RSS feeds can pull quite a few posts in daily. I have these categories suppressed from /latest (sure wish the category suppress component also suppressed from /new, but that will be another topic), however i would like to exclude them also from the gist summarizer for AI cost management purposes (i don’t really feel summaries for these posts are necessary, so would rather not pay for their summarization).
for cost management reasons, it would be useful to have more granular control over where such ai features like summarization are enabled on a forum, such as targeting categories (and perhaps tags) to exclude.
