Hi, does Discourse allow users who are below the trust level for sending PMs or users that have reached their daily PM thread limit to send a PM to the administrator and/or moderators? In my case I would want all non-suspended users to always be able to contact me as the administrator.

The discussion revolves around allowing private messages (PMs) to administrators and moderators in Discourse, particularly for users who are below the trust level for sending PMs or have reached their daily PM thread limit. rahim123 wants all non-suspended users to be able to contact them as the administrator, but discovered that trust level 0 (tl0) users cannot send PMs to staff.
Moin suggested two possible solutions: adding a link to a prefilled composer or using a plugin to allow PMs to staff. CaptainJ implemented the prefilled composer and found it to be effective.
I believe that users who don’t have privilege to message can still message staff
Hi again, it looks like tl0 users can not send PMs to staff. I’ve received multiple (public) reports from new users that weren’t able to send me a PM about a problem, and this thread confirms it:
@rahim123, same. Did you ever find a solution for this?
Though this isn’t that easy for users to discover the message button on the group page. But you can add a link which opens a prefilled composer somewhere, where your users will find it (about page, sidebar, header, …)
Or you use this plugin:
I used the prefilled composer and it seems to be working great, thank you!
