Animated gifs - what tool?

Can anyone tell me what tool does discourse staff use to create such gifs please?

I’m not sure what they use… but, I use Giphy (has a macOS desktop app) and if you want another great open source option… Kap is great too.

I use a program called LICEcap to make the animated gifs.
