Apple device UX issue

The full width mode is a problem on Apple devices because of the edge design  It covers part of the messages. I guess its the viewport-fit=cover that is the isssue.

This is not an intended use mode, so there is nothing to fix here.

I think this mode is often used because the new iPhones is so wide in portrait mode  and is viewport-fit=cover really nesasary here? Without that Meta data part it would support those new iPhones in landscape.

I don’t think I’ve ever used discourse in landscape like this. I prefer:

To:

And I really don’t want to rotate my device just to reply.

When held landscape orientation, is there anything beneath the bezel that can’t be accessed short of changing orientation? If so, is it worth the trade off sacrificing some gutter space?

This has been fixed by @pmusaraj in https://github.com/discourse/discourse/commit/fec6411fbfa6235342f2a34629d3aed966333041 :tada:
