The first person listed in the Members tab is the group creator — “owner” is a title tricky to define because the group chat creator doesn’t really have special privileges over the group. To that point:
No, the group chat creator cannot remove members from the group (unless they are an admin). Otherwise, members need to leave on their own.
Is there a particular situation that you’re running into where more control over the group chat membership would be helpful?
