Auto close messages post count does not allow a zero value for hosted site

In the help text for the setting “Auto close messages post count”, it states:

Maximum number of posts allowed in a message before it is automatically closed (0 to disable)

When I set this to zero, it alerts that:

auto_close_messages_post_count: Value must be between 100 and 10000.

This seems contradictory to the help text above!

Not at all urgent, but just stumbled across it when I was looking at a setting change.

This setting cannot be disabled for our hosted sites.

We’re having the same issue.

Why can’t it be disabled?

Because the performance implications will break your site and all other sites hosted on that server.
