Auto-complete without mouse

Just a little something real quick. When I’m typing a message, I want to be able to use my keyboard only and not having to grab the mouse at each auto-complete contextual menu (@mention, #category, #tag, emojis). It breaks my flow.

I expect to be able to navigate in the pop-up menu with the arrows like:

  • Enter is “auto-complete with the selected item”
  • arrow up and down navigate the items

Sadly this doesn’t work.
Is there a way to achieve keyboard navigation in contextual pop-up menus, and if not, could it be a :sparkles: feature request pl0x?

Right, here yes, not on the instance I administer. Discourse 3.4.7.
Firefox on Ubuntu.

That will need some more debugging on your end I’m afraid.

  • Does it work in safe-mode, to be absolutly sure it’s not caused by a TC/plugin
  • Does it work on that instance in another browsers?
  • Does it work on that instance in another operating system?
  • Does it work if you update to latest?

It clearly works in the core product.
