All - I host a new community on Azure and would like to know if there are any plans to implement Azure’s CDN and/or a backup strategy to Azure Blob Storage? Thanks and looking forward to the discussion.

Azure CDN should work out the box, just follow the guide.
About backups, we have support for S3 in core, a plugin for Dropbox, and will soon have Google Drive.
Plugin options for other storage like Box, Azure Blob, the new Digital Ocean Object Storage are all welcome from contributors.
