Hi there,

I’m planning to host my own Discourse forum in the near future and have question: Do you have to buy a domain name separately when hosting with Digital Ocean?

Sorry if this sounds like an obvious question, I never hosted a forum before.

Yes, you do need to buy one.

Namecheap works fine for me.
