Can’t fix tag names with dots/periods

Continuing discussion from "." (dot) in tag:

As per the quote, at some point having periods in tag names was hard disallowed and as such it is no longer possible to edit these tags at all, so they can’t be fixed to not have the dot in them.

If that’s the case then you’ll need to rename them in the rails console.
