The whole screen goes blank.
On all Discourse forums I tried.

Android 9 Firefox 142 (brand new)
I have made an MP4 screen capture:

I think this blank screen bug is since and only with Firefox 142, as I see in my phone that it was updated 2 days ago.
And I tried Chrome browser with no blank screen bug.
I managed to upload the video, you can see that a small blank bar appears at the top of the screen.
And the bottom address bar goes up to the top, each time the keyboard appears.
Until I force close Firefox.
It seems to be what’s causing the blank screen bug on edit.
More a Firefox bug than a Discourse bug, but I don’t know how to report bugs to Mozilla.
PS. I removed my off-topic MP4 upload bug, I found the reason and work-around.

Popping up the keyboard in Discourse triggers the top horizontal padding blank bar and bottom menu bar slide up, covering the whole screen.
The top horizontal padding blank bar remains even when quitting Discourse.
You can see this behaviour in this video:
Only when I kill Firefox app that it disappears.
I will post here if I find another site than Discourse that triggers this Firefox for Android 142 bug.
If someone knows how to report them the bug, I didn’t find.

Cannot reproduce this issue with the same version of Firefox on an android 15 tablet.
I’m going to try to reproduce this in an android 9 emulator with a phone-styled viewport. The performance was terrible for some reason, probably my tablet’s 4gb of ram, but i will try again
I tried android 9 with virtual master now, here are the results:
Basically what the author said, but on my emulator window, the white does not go all the way to the top.

The white’s height equals the keyboard’s height.
So, the bigger the keyboard is, the bigger the white will be.

The Android 9 emulator didn’t reproduce the permanent top horizontal bar part of the bug, visible at 00:22 in below capture:

A little summary of the tested versions we saw:
- Keyboard (Gboard, SwiftKey, etc.) doesn’t matter
- Firefox Extensions don’t matter
- Firefox for Android before version 142: No bug
- Firefox for Android versions 142 and 142.0.2 same behaviour
- Real Android or emulator same behaviour
- Phone or tablet apparently same behaviour

This is a bug on old Android 9 or 10, with recent Firefox.
Coincidentally, they have a simultaneous similar bug (but less harmful) on recent iOS!
Same kind of websites (including Discourse) is breaking design, triggered by the keyboard placeholder.
Here is a giant top padding on the bottom keyboard placeholder, plus small top bar, while over there is a small bottom margin on the bottom bar.
So I thought maybe Firefox uses WebKit, like iOS, but no, it doesn’t seem so.

The bug is fixed in Firefox Nightly and we have to wait for an update on Firefox for Android Normal. 
Update a few minutes/hours later
Woohoo it has now arrived!
I’m typing this from updated Normal/Main Firefox for Android 143.0.3, without keyboard floating workaround!
