The Discourse forum I’m using downloads local copies of embedded images, and it sends you a notification every time it does this. This doesn’t affect me and is unimportant and irrelevant to me, so I decided to mute the “system” user:

  1. The system account cannot be muted
  2. Downloading local copies of images shouldn’t notify the poster

For this bit, the setting you’re looking for is:

disable edit notifications: Disables edit notifications by the system user when 'download_remote_images_to_local' is active.

It’s in ‘Other’ in admin/site_settings.

You can’t mute system messages, that is by design. You also cannot mute admins, moderators = staff.

Mi scuso per il necro, ma ho appena scoperto (almeno sul mio sito) che l’impostazione di disattivazione dell’audio consente a un utente di inserire membri dello staff nel campo, ma il sistema sovrascrive le notifiche. Sono stato in grado di aggiungere sia un moderatore che me stesso, l’amministratore, al campo di disattivazione dell’audio degli utenti del mio account di prova. Il campo di ignorare non mi ha permesso di selezionare i nomi dello staff, come previsto, ma il campo di disattivazione dell’audio lo ha fatto e mi ha permesso di salvarlo (sono tornato indietro e ho verificato che li avesse salvati). L’account di prova ha continuato a ricevere notifiche e messaggi come se lo staff non fosse disattivato.
