Change the category page to suit your needs (one option)…
What it does: completely changes the design on this page. (shows the best authors and topics of the week)

Additional fields in category:
categorimg - the second image used on the category page
categordiscr - short description of the category
desktop category page style - Categories and Latest Topics
This is a rather non-standard plugin that requires some preliminary actions. You must fill in additional fields in the categories that will be used in this layout.
After a while, I will try to simplify the implementation, which can be used without such actions. Perhaps this code will be useful.

Does this really need to be a plugin? Shouldn’t it be a theme component cc @sam @johani ?

Most of the changes can be done in a theme component. The biggest blocker is the excerpts. Those still require a plugin.

The plan is to allow you to opt for excerpts somehow as a theme component.

불행히도 더 이상 이 플러그인 개발을 계속할 수 없습니다. 이는 거주지 환경, 개발 환경의 부재, 그리고 사양이 낮은 노트북으로 인해 CSS와 PHP 스크립트 작업만 가능하기 때문입니다.
저장소를 클론하거나, 이 솔루션을 더 나은 방향으로 개선해 보실 수 있습니다. 충분히 가능하다고 생각합니다.
