Category topic list page shows category as "Watching" when no explicit status has been set

AI-generated summary

A bug has been reported where the category topic list page displays a category as “Watching” even if no explicit tracking status has been set. mcwumbly provided an example of this issue, showing that the marketplace category is incorrectly listed as “Watching” despite not being watched. The issue only occurs when navigating to the category from the categories page, not when visiting the category directly via URL. The bug has been fixed with a commit as reported by gerhard.

On the topic list page for a category, it currently shows as “Watching” if no explicit tracking status has been set, instead of “Normal”:

For example, it shows me as “watching” the marketplace category here:

But do not watch that category:

(Note, if I explicit set it to Normal, then it does remember that… so it seems to be an issue with how the null/default case is handled)

Thanks for reporting. This happened only when you navigated to the category from the categories page. It worked when you visited the category by entering it’s URL in the browser’s address bar.
