We noticed that Discourse censors words using the block character (■), instead of the more universal asterisks (*).
They do not have an option to change this, as the block characters pretty much hardcoded into the codebase everywhere.
We feel that it would be best to have this updated to asterisks, or at least provide a control/setting where the admin can update the same for their forums
