No, that’s not on purpose. Do you have any errors in the console? You can also post the URL to your site if you can.
For me, I notice that if I navigate to another page then the button works as expected.
It only doesn’t work when landing directly on the homepage.

Correct, but it used to (and it does in this site)
This seems to be happening only when /categories is set as the landing page. And interestingly, if I click on Latest on your site and then click on the logo, it refreshes the frontpage correctly.

Fix was temporarily reverted, JS tests are failing. We’ll reply again once the fix is back in.

A new fix has now been merged. @Jose_C_Gomez let me know if that doesn’t fix the issue on your end.
