This is the second topic already that I notice being locked for reaching the limit but not having the new “part x” being created and linked to the previous part.

The discussion revolves around a bug where a topic is locked upon reaching a limit, but a new “part x” topic is not created or linked. Crius reports the issue, noting it’s the second occurrence and that slow mode is not enabled. JammyDodger suspects the problem stems from a new group-allowed setting, specifically post links allowed groups, conflicting with @system. A temporary fix is available, with a permanent fix in development JammyDodger.

Ah, I think this may be the second report of this I’ve seen of this recently. I don’t suppose you have slow mode set on that topic?
No there wasn’t a slow mode, it’s a pretty chill topic (literally talking about skiing
).
By chance if you reopen the topic does it make a new one then? (I’m not expecting it to, but hey, worth a shot)
I think we’ve managed to pinpoint this to another new group-allowed setting switchover not playing nice with @system (in this case the post links allowed groups one).
I think a temporary fix is in place if you want to update now, and the actual fix is in the pipeline if you don’t mind waiting a little longer.
