Contributor appreciation August (& Feb) 2026

One thing I’ve always enjoyed about Discourse release blog posts was the contributor appreciation section, and while blog posts are no longer part of the release process I think that this is a tradition we should keep going .

I’d like to say thank you to everyone who contributed over the past 6 months, big or small, and helped improve Discourse for me and thousands of other communities. Every time I spot a community PR in the list of open pull requests, it makes me happy .

I know this is a lot of work, especially when features get renamed — like “AI persona” to “AI agent.” What’s almost a simple search & replace on two yml files for the English source text means touching every single string individually on Crowdin.
