Hello, i am currently testing discourse. I follow the instruction on how to add google OAuth signing up.
however i cant locate the enable google client ID and google client secret in discourse admin setting. Below is the picture. Any help please?
A user, lucky8six, reports being unable to find the Google OAuth client ID and secret settings in the Discourse admin panel, despite following instructions. NateDhaliwal suggests searching under /admin/site_settings and confirms the settings are visible. lucky8six clarifies the issue persists even after searching. NateDhaliwal and Jagster suggest the absence of Google OAuth options is due to the user’s 14-day free trial plan, which only allows local authentication. NateDhaliwal recommends upgrading to a higher plan for access to additional features.
Try searching for the settings. They could be loacted somewhere else.
hi thanks for the fast response. I did tried search the last 15 minutes but not able to find.
As you can see in the picture i uploaded, only Linkedin client ID and Linkedin client secret appeared only but there is no google client ID.
It was quite frustrating, hereby asked here if anyone could help ?
Try searching for it under /admin/site_settings, not under a specific category. I see it just fine.
ok thank you so much for your reply and help
.
I just email them regarding the issue
There isn’t any issue, I reckon. Your subscription allows only local one.
Or perhaps, you could upgrade your plan/trial on a higher plan. See Discourse pricing | Discourse - Civilized Discussion.
