Customizing the onboarding bot text

In my forum, I’ve changed the name of the Like button to Appreciate and the icon to a handshake :handshake:. I’d like to update the onboarding experience with the bot, because some users have complained that it’s confusing that the bot references :heart: Likes but the forum has :handshake: Appreciates

I tried searching for the lines in the Customize → Text dialog, but I haven’t been able to find them. Is it possible to customize the bot?

I found it myself. The keys are:

  • discourse_narrative_bot.new_user_narrative.likes.instructions
  • discourse_narrative_bot.new_user_narrative.images.instructions

Leaving this here since they were pretty hard to find, maybe it’ll be useful for someone else.

Edit: Apparently there are more, but you can easily find them by searching for :heart:.
