Dashboard advice regarding Patreon persists after issue is fixed

There was this advice on my dashboard:

Some advice based on your current site settings

So I followed the advice, and synched Patreon both manually (via the button in the plugin settings) and also by kicking the PatreonSyncPatronsToGroups job in sidekiq- both of those indicated success. But the advice remains.

It does give me the option to dismiss the advice. But shouldn’t the advice get updated to reflect the current status? Is it really fixed? I’ve done a hard refresh.

The sync to Patreon is working- I tested it. But the advice remains. I’ve dismissed the advice, but whatever triggered the advice in the first place should run periodically and auto-dismiss the advice.

I have the same issue. I even created new Patreon tokens, but the warning still persists. Clicking “Refresh” on the warning in the Discourse Admin Dashboard does nothing.

Thanks for the report! I can confirm the issue and we’re working on a fix — once this is :git_merged: merged it will be available on your next Discourse update

Hello, @Gunnar! :waving_hand:

Ah. Yes. The refresh button is a bit redundant. It is essentially the same as refreshing the whole page.

Are you also missing the Dismiss option on the notice itself, like OP reported? @awesomerobot’s change will make it so the notice is cleared the next time the call to Patreon succeeds, but the missing button sounds like another, separate issue.

Confirmed fixed! I rebuilt, and after that the notice went away from /admin without me having to do anything.

Thanks!
