We’ve got a report of an error message that has thrown a few people off when Discourse’s Discord Login feature is enabled, and Hcaptcha is enabled.
When users registers with Discord when Hcaptcha is also on, they’re being hit with a error banner saying “Something went wrong, perhaps this email is already registered, try the forget password link” and they’re thrown on the page asking them to manually enter account information (with everything prefilled from Discord), with it wanting the user to click and solve the Captcha, despite the error hint at the top saying “Perhaps this email is already registered” (though they don’t haver a account)
I am not sure if this is something easily solvable, like if we’ve got a configuration error, or perhaps a bug or an intended feature. The error hit has been confusing people as its the big red one at the top and the please solve captcha requires scrolling down and is way smaller, plus is very conflicting.
This is on a self-hosted Discourse install. The issue seems to go away if Hcatpcha.
