iOS Discourse App – Automatic Zooming Issue on PeptidePrice Community.
I’m experiencing a persistent issue with the Discourse iOS app, but only when using the PeptidePrice community. The problem does not occur in any other community on the app, and everything works normally when accessing PeptidePrice through Safari or Chrome.
Issue Description
Whenever I:
• tap “Create Topic”, or
• tap the search bar, or
• place the cursor into any text field,
the screen automatically zooms in. The page becomes too large to view properly, and I have to pinch-zoom out every time. As soon as I start typing, the page zooms in again.
Important Notes
• The issue happens only on the PeptidePrice community inside the Discourse app.
• No other community shows this behavior.
• Browsers (Safari/Chrome) have no zoom issue at all.
• iPhone: iOS 26.x using the Discourse app.
Possible for a fix? i would really appreciate that, here a quick video so it can give you a idea
I’m not sure, because I can’t login to the site (they are not hosted by us afaik), but it could be that they are using a smaller than usual font-size, which will force a zoom-in specifically on Safari.
It is odd that normal browser-safari works for you though, but it still very much sounds like that issue.
When you say Discourse app, do you mean the Hub, downloaded from the App Store, or the PWA?
I found the community, but it’s not open to anonymous viewers and I don’t want to make an account.
Since we are not hosting them, and the problem does not persist in other communities you visit, it might be helpful to alert the admins of the forum about the problem.
