Discourse Calendar aggiornato per usare fullcalendar 6

Yes I think it should get fixed when you get latest update.

Because /day/2025/09/01 sorts alphabetically before /day/2025/10/01, and /day/2025/9/1 does not?

My Dad and I find that the Year page seeks the beginning of the year, not the week or month previously. On mobiles this behaved more like a bug, in that the expected appears on pressing Year (for an agenda-type view) but within a second the page reloads to beginning of year.

yes we will try to improve this in the future I agree it’s not ideal

J ai une évolution à proposer sur les événements
Ça serait sympa lors d une réservation c est aussi de choisir le nombre de places qu on réserve sous le même compte
Je ne sais pas si je suis clair :joy:

If you are using recurring events a lot, feel free to upvote this as for the moment, recurrent events don’t have their own individual events, only one main topic per event instead of creating 1 topic per event in the recurrence.

yes we will come to this, it’s various steps to get there, we already move towards this a lot in last weeks

Thank you for your efforts to you and Sam or any other person involved behind this plugin, and sorry we don’t want to look pushy asking for features for something that is free but this plugin is just so innovative in the way it combines the power of discourse categories and topics with event organisation that we are just hooked to it :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

This plugin alone makes discourse stand out from all competitors who are really neglecting event organization which we are lucky to have discourse’s devs understanding as a fundamental aspect for building communities whose members want to know each other more than just online. I am certain it will attract more and more people to switch to discourse in the future. Great work !

Hello everybody, thank you for the update :bouquet: :chocolate_bar:
I have 2 questions though :see_no_evil_monkey:

1) Like @nathank I am wondering if the event title will stay cut off or if it could be wrapped?

2) My second question is about the events spanning multiple days. In the overall calendar (which is at upcoming-events/month/2025/9/1) the events are displayed spanning multiple days, which we would prefer:

But in the category calendar where the events are initially set - the same events look like 1 day events in the monthly view.

So I am wondering if this is intended or a bug? Is there a plan to display these events same in the category calendar as in the overall calendar? :face_with_peeking_eye:

It will stay cut and not wrapped, also no ellipsis. Multline is not really possible, and the ellipsis is a trade-off between visually pleasant and maximum space for text, if you add ... then you lose few characters.

Next update should fix the category calendar multi days issue

Thank you @j.jaffeux for the answer! :100:

If the title will stay cut I was wondering if we could bring back showing the event overlay on hover or on first click? I think that would be nice to easily see events that have a longer title.

My screenshot shows an event with short title but I just wanted to show what I mean by “event overlay”:

But that’s already the case no? How did you show the overlay here, one click? Thats how it works for me atm.

@j.jaffeux I have now tested with the latest update and it gives the event overlay on click in the general calendar at /upcoming-events/
However, it does not behave that way in category calendars. In category calendars the click will redirect to the topic that includes the event.

Would be lovely if both would show the overlay.

Hi @j.jaffeux Sorry dont want to get on your nerves but could we also have this overlay in category calendars, please :hatching_chick: Thank you very much :two_hearts:
