As you might be able to see in this screenshot, one of the images shown is demonstrating a user interface element that’s been recently changed due to the introduction of the sidebar.
In case you somehow haven’t noticed already, this is what it now looks like.
The sidebar and new notifications are still experimental and haven’t been rolled out to all sites by default yet. I think it may be a touch early to update those pages while they’re still being worked on. 
Yeah, that’s a fair point. I completely forgot that the sidebar is still experimental.
