For anyone interested, i’ve put together new Vagrant Discourse development setup:

It is using Winnfsd driver for sharing so it should perform better than SMB or native VirtualBox shares.
Tested on Windows 7, feedback for other platforms would be appreciated.

I believe this method has been generally deprecated in favor of using Docker for local development, is that correct @sam?

Yes we even removed the code recently afaik and updated the blog post
This looks fine though cause share should in theory be fast, I wonder if it gets the file watch events though
