Discourse sends the error and then just cancels the installation how do I make it install?
You can’t in any supportable way. 1GB is the bare minimum and you have less than that.
If 960MB were supported that’s what Discourse-setup would check for.
Hmmm, that’s a bit hard to believe, sorry. It would be mighty strange if Discourse “just happened” to require 1GB precisely. Surely that’s an arbitrary limit?
There’s no exact “Discourse will run poorly at X ram” number because it varies based on community size/use… but we know from experience that most sites won’t run well under roughly 1GB, so we don’t support it.
