The discussion revolves around integrating Discourse with WooCommerce subscriptions using the WP Discourse plugin. rohitgeeks wants to achieve Single Sign-On (SSO) between WordPress and Discourse, where users are automatically logged in to both sites when they log in to WordPress. pfaffman provides resources for setting up the WP Discourse plugin and managing group membership.
However, rohitgeeks faces an issue where clicking the Discourse login button redirects to the WordPress site, but doesn’t log the user into the Discourse forum. simon suggests that this issue might be caused by WooCommerce and recommends installing a plugin or adding custom code to resolve it.
rohitgeeks then asks if it’s possible to restrict Discourse login to users with active WooCommerce subscriptions. simon provides a code snippet from a related topic that might help achieve this.
