I let the Docker updater purge old containers when it runs low on space, but that only happens when I’m updating Docker, so its rare. Sounds like you have multiple Discourse instances going, I can’t speak to that.

./launcher cleanup is more recommended, and covered in many many topics here on meta..

Is there a way to have the cleanup process triggered after upgrades from the admin interface?

The prune runs at the host level, while admin upgrades are internal to the running container. Also the /.launcher cleanup cleans up old images, but when using the internal admin upgrade you don’t even download new images.

Right. Perhaps the process has changed lately, but I recall having to cleanup many old images manually because they were consuming disk space. Now I have only a couple old images after upgrading to the latest version.
