I woke up yesterday to a situation where Edit history visible to public doesn’t cover changing owner of a topic/first post. I haven’t allow that, so I reckoned that only I as an admin and other staff members can see that information, because it is a part of edit history.
What I didn’t try (shame on me) if the reasons are
- that setting is broken and then this is a bug
- new author will see that, because that user reported about visibility
- this is a conflict between some TC or plugin
For me hiding that is kind of important. I have a bunch of users who struggles using Discourse (and that would be worth of a topic its own). They send to me text, I publish it and then changing owner. But now it looks like I actually wrote it and then changed author.
