the reply button out of sight when there are more comments than the defined height.

his still requires the user to scroll through a potentially eye-watering amount of comments inside of an iframe (which has lots of drawbacks) before getting to the end and being able to originate a first-level comment.

There is a floating reply button now.

It is a normal Discourse topic, clicking on the reply button in a post makes it a reply.

Can we add domains to an allow-list?

It is still the decade old feature of Embed Discourse comments on another website via Javascript, so the same allow list behavior applies.
