Error when attempting to permanently delete as moderator

Continuing the discussion from Introducing permanently delete post functionality:

While testing to see if a moderator had the ability to Permanently Delete a post I noticed that the Permanently Delete option is avaible in the moderator’s post wrench, but will generate a 403 Forbidden error when used.

  • Enable hidden site setting can_permanently_delete
  • (soft) Delete a post
  • Use test moderator to Permanently Delete from deleted post’s wrench menu

  • “Sorry, an error has occurred” message
  • 403 Forbidden error in console

Is this setting meant to be Admin only?

From what I read at

It looks like the feature is meant to be admins only. However, it seems like the option being shown to moderators could be a bug.
