Dears good morning,
Hope you are doing great !!
As I am discovering discourse more and more and I have recently explored the embedded AI features and capabilities - works great !
I notice that the AI bot allows file upload (next to the “ask a question” prompting box) and was wondering:
- Is there a way to fully restrict this file upload for the AI bot interactions (e.g. I mean, to have as admin the option to remove that capability so users actually can only interact through text prompts with the AI bot)?
- Does file upload through AI bot at least follow the global site settings such as the restrictions in terms of sizing, allowed file extension etc… ? (I guess yes, just wanted to be sure)
- Are file uploads through AI bot stored somewhere or are they “temporarily” kept for the AI engine to work on and then removed once the task/questions has been answered ?
EDIT: for info, the “vision enabled” setting of my LLM is not selected (disable) and the “allowed attachments” field is left blank as well. As such, I would assume the upload would not be possible for the end user but still the upload icon appear in the AI chat page.
Thank you for your help and support,
Cheers,
Terenui
