لذا هناك مشكلة في مقدار الذاكرة الافتراضية. لا يتعلق الأمر بالذاكرة العشوائية (RAM) بشكل صارم، ولكنك إما بحاجة إلى المزيد من الذاكرة العشوائية (RAM) أو المزيد من الذاكرة المبادلة (swap). أو، ربما، تحتاج إلى تغيير سياسة النواة (kernel policy).

بالمناسبة، في بعض الأحيان يحدث تغيير مؤسف في برنامج Discourse، ويكون من المفيد جدًا تتبع ما حدث بشكل خاطئ، مما قد يساعد الآخرين.
في بعض الأحيان، قد تحتاج فقط إلى حل سريع، دون تحقيق أو شرح. في هذه الحالة، قد يمنحك مزود الاستضافة الخاص بك خيارًا قابلاً للعكس بالترقية مؤقتًا إلى مثيل أكبر بكثير: 8 جيجابايت، أو 16 جيجابايت من ذاكرة الوصول العشوائي، يمكنك بعد ذلك المتابعة لإكمال الخطوة المزعجة، ثم يمكنك الرجوع إلى المثيل غير المكلف الذي بدأت به. قد يكلفك هذا بضعة سنتات إضافية فقط، طالما أنك تقوم بالرجوع في غضون ساعة أو ساعتين. لقد فعلت هذا بنفسي، وفي الواقع قد يكون هذا هو الوضع الطبيعي الجديد بالنسبة لي.
