Even on a fresh installation the new tag will never disappear. Not sure if this is a bug or something I’m missing.

Dumb question but have you read (ie. reached the bottom of) the FAQ?

Well… no. 
It never occurred to me that I would need to read it til the bottom (I mean, I’m an admin, why should I, I wrote the FAQ myself).
Anyway, it worked.
