Federation support for Discourse

I found a few posts suggesting that it’s harder than people thought. IIRC, it looked like a grant had been offered to develop a plugin but it seemed to have fallen though. My wild guess is that it’s a $10,000 problem; if I’m right, that’s the kind of advocacy you’re going to need.

Pavilion submitted an application to NLnet for 40,000 Euros to add federation support to Discourse (see below). It was rejected and we ended up applying for (and getting accepted) into DAPSI instead.
