Hemant_Raju1 is looking for a custom plugin/component development service for their Discourse site, specifically a UI component for uploading files to an S3 bucket, generating downloadable and shareable links, and listing these links in another UI component. The project needs to be completed ASAP, and the budget is negotiable.

Merefield pointed out that Discourse already supports uploading files to S3 storage natively, suggesting that this existing functionality could be leveraged to simplify the project.

Pfaffman asked for clarification on where the downloadable and shareable links would be displayed and how the list of uploads would be managed, also inquiring about a rough budget estimate.

Ahmed_Gagan expressed interest in taking on the project and sent Hemant_Raju1 a private message.

What would you like done?

we are looking for a custom plugin/component development service for our discourse site

Below is the requirement.

  • A Ui component where user can upload files into s3 bucket .
  • Then Every file should have downloadable and shareable link which user should get.
  • Those links also should be listed down in one ui component.

When do you need it done?
ASAP
What is your budget, in $ USD that you can offer for this task?
Negotiable

FYI there is already native support to put uploads in S3 storage, you just need to enable:

So the current Post UI already supports this.

Perhaps you can leverage that if you need further modifications and should simplify your project significantly.

See: Configure an S3 compatible object storage provider for uploads

Where would that be? The topic in which they uploaded it?

You want a single page that has a list of every upload? If not, how would one specify those uploads?

Sure, but do you want something like $50, $500, $1000, $2500?
