Is it possible for me as an admin to fix a user’s post that contained this error?

Simplest thing is just to download the image, and then to upload it, then our logic for resizing huge images will kick in.
Other options are raising the limits of maximum upload sizes but on hosted instances that needs to be coordinated with us.

Yeah, I’m getting the exact same issue. I just haven’t had the time to bump this. The solution above works briefly, but then it doesn’t.

Try using a video link instead of a ginormous, inefficient animated GIF – that really punishes people on mobile.
