Force tables to be scrollable

Is there any way to force tables to have a scroll bar horizontally? I have a table here that admittedly contains a decent amount of information laterally, but is being quite compressed, and it would be better if it were simply scrollable. For example, at the bottom, it should read

Lufthansa (A346)

DHL (B738)

as I am using the <br> command in between them, but it is artificially compressed into a much narrower column. The column titles are also obviously compressed.

They definitely are already scrollable, if the table is wide enough, but ours seem to be in an unfortunate middle ground where they are not wide enough to get a scroll bar but too wide to be perfectly formatted.

there is no markup way to force nowrap that i know of, but you can hack it with &nbsp; non-breaking space in the text strings:
