Group name in email subject for notification mails

Would it be possible to get the name of the group in the subject for an email notification (when applicable)? This would make it possible to filter it client side.

If you mean the category name, then that’s already possible.

We use the following value for our site setting email subject:
%{optional_re}%{optional_pm}%{optional_cat}%{topic_title}

Cool. But I did actually mean the group name, for the new inbound email for groups feature.

I follow, you want this for routing I guess. @zogstrip this should probably be customizable at the bare minimum.

Any news on this one, as we use the groups with incoming email address and also in the mailing list mode therefore it would be great to have the Group Name in subject line.

@maja we should add a new formatting option “%{group_name}” to the email notifications subjects so people can add it if they want it.
